Tip Top Canvas uses a variety of marine glass as needed in your boat canvas project.
We recommend the following:
POLYCARBONATE:
Features
and benefits:
• Unsurpassed superior clarity unlike the distortion
associated with "Isenglass" or rolled glass
• Highly yellow resistant
• Highly UV resistant for longevity
• Highly abrasion resistant
• Superior strength; 250 times the impact strength of float
glass and 30 times that of acrylic. It is a rigid glass and therefore cannot be rolled up. Storage options would be "flip & store" in place or remove & stow.
• It is sewn rather than bonded or glued for superior functionality. Because it is sewn, it is possible to remove & replace a glass panel if it becomes damaged instead of building a whole new curtain. Bonded & glued windows often have mold issues on the seams.
We are the only canvas shop in Northern Michigan offering this sewn system.
STRATAGLASS™
Features and benefits:
• Flexible (it rolls up!)
• Resists the damaging effects from the sun's rays, environmental fallout
and scratching from handling.
•It also blocks out 100% of the spectrum
of UV light.
We will provide glass samples upon request.
